When I stepped into Shopify, I dove headfirst into the dynamic world of e-commerce and product innovation with one important task: Crafting a brand new brand identity and name for Shopify's latest offering, what is known today as Shop Promise.
This service isn't just another shipping option; it's an evolution in trust-building for merchants. The product offers fast & free 2-day delivery, transparent delivery dates, hassle-free returns, a multi-platform presence extending reach effortlessly on Google, Facebook and Instagram, and the access to all these benefits without any hidden fees or mandatory monthly subscriptions.
Building Shop Promise from the ground up meant not just creating a service, but fostering a promise of reliability and speed. It's designed to empower Shopify merchants to not only meet but exceed customer expectations, turning one-time buyers into loyal advocates.
Even though we launched the product within the Shipping team, I always argued that if we were using the Shop brand ecosystem to host this service, we should make it part of Shop, and eventually, we did.

Markets is one of the most important products Shopify offers. It allows merchants to sell their products around the world while we handle all the complexities like taxes, currency exchanges, translations, market-specific content, etc.
It’s a beast of a product, and landing on a robust yet simple landing page was not an easy task. In fact we had to re-do it multiple times until we finally landed on these visuals including three different Landing Pages, an explainer video, social, email marketing and merchants testimonials.
